A very Dora Birthday

I know characters are a huge market these days and I usually like to stick with basic Happy Birthday or special occasion things, but decided to try Dora for a friend of mine since I knew my daughter might want the same thing in a few months. Thanks for being the guinea pig Abby! The kids said Dora right away when I showed them so I knew at least it was a good resemblance. I also did a special request of Puppy Chow (a.k.a white trash) that I was happy to make for $10. Its a great snack for any party and had to make a batch of my own so I wouldn't eat all of hers.

Big Boy's Birthday

My oldest turned 5 this week and I can't believe how quickly time has flown. He has waited very patiently for his very own cookie cake as he watches so many pass through this house. The request was super man that he and his preschool friends devoured.

Teacher Appreciation

Don't forget about those special teachers that put up with so much and get paid so little. I was asked by a friend to make this cake for an elementary school teacher during teacher appreciation week. Its not burned, but my first Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. Tastes more like a brownie

Cookie Cakes Galore!

This week was a huge blessing of orders as I totaled 4 cake orders and 2 cakes for a show a friend of mine hosted to promote my business. I have to say I think I would be okay if I didn't see chocolate chips and icing for a while.
Two of the cakes were different than usual with one being a sugar cookie and the other a Heath Toffee. The Golf cake is what I did two of for a surprise Golf trip a wife set up for her husband and 10 of his friends. Now that's a nice surprise.
